Principal Green Message

Welcome to John Philip Sousa Middle School!

At Sousa, we are Rooted in Legacy and Rising in Excellence. Our legacy is grounded in the belief that every student deserves a school community that challenges them, supports them, and prepares them to thrive.

Being rooted in legacy means honoring the history, strength, and resilience of the Sousa community while building upon the foundation created by those who came before us. Rising in excellence means we refuse to settle. We hold high expectations for teaching and learning, cultivate a safe and joyful school culture, and work in partnership with our families to ensure every student succeeds.

Our commitment is simple: Excellence is not an event it is how we show up every day. Together, our students, staff, families, and community will continue building a Sousa where students are proud to learn, educators are proud to serve, and families are proud to belong.

The legacy is already here. Together, we will continue to rise.

With Sousa Pride,
